The Santa Eulàlia

The beautifully restored three-mast schooner has recently lowered her gang plank in the Port Vell to welcome visitors on board, free of charge. Converted painstakingly into a museum ship by the Museu Marítim of Barcelona, the 34-metre 'Santa Eulalia' dates from the early 20th-century. The vessel began life as a merchant ship, sailing under a series of different owners and names. Acquired by the museum in 1997, the ship now serves as the city's floating ambassador.
