Carnavelet offers a 3D tour of the French capital, with technology dating from the 19th (the Stereograph) and the 20th-century (the 1960s Viewmaster) to the present day. It's a shame the subject matter is let down by the presentation - dodgy silver drapery and dated explanatory videos - yet this is still an intriguing view of the history of Paris, from the impact of Haussmann to images of the family, cinema and erotica. Bear in mind that most of the pieces are placed too high up for small children to view.
