A new addition to Vienna's Gürtel scene, Loop is situated virtually next door to the pioneering Chelsea. As with most of the bars housed beneath the U6 metro line along Vienna's ring road, the décor is characterised by bare brickwork, booze and beats. Loop is a slight improvement on the rest, with its sleek comfy black leather sofas, oval bar and, best of all, a midnight munchie menu full of comfort food such as Campbells soups (tomato and mushroom) and excellent hotdogs with unorthodox accompaniments, most notably chili con carne and sauerkraut. DJs play at the weekends.

Banned on its publication 106 years ago for being too 'immoral and otherwise improper for the stage', London audiences had to wait 30 years before they could see George Bernard Shaw's shockingly modern take on prostitution. The play tells the story of an unconventional young woman who discovers her mother's secret in this groundbreaking early work from the Irishman. Directed by Brian Brady, the Peacock hosts this production to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of one of Ireland's greatest playwrights.
